France is seing a peak of Covid right now (july 2022), be careful. We recommend to wear a protective mask when using public transportation.

If you show symptoms, it is strongly recommended to perform an auto-test. They are available in drugstores. In case of a positive test, it should be confirmed with a PCR or antigenic test. To find an appointment for that, you can use the Doctolib app.

If the positive test is confirmed by PCR or antigenic, please follow the recommendation of the french health ministry:

“If you are positive and have a complete and up-to-date vaccination schedule (this also applies to children under 12 years of age): isolation lasts for 7 (full) days from the date of the onset of symptoms or the date of the positive test. However, after 5 days, you can be released from isolation under 2 conditions:
– perform an antigenic or PCR test and it is negative ;
– you have no clinical signs of infection for 48 hours.

If you are positive and have an incomplete vaccination schedule (this also applies to unvaccinated people): isolation is for 10 (full) days from the date of the onset of signs or the date of the positive test. However, after 7 days, you can be released from isolation under 2 conditions:
– perform an antigenic test or PCR and it is negative;
– you have no clinical signs of infection for 48 hours.“

The Covid 19 situation is fast evolving, and the rules to come to France do the same. The best way to be kept apprised of the rules is to go to the Home Office ministry website.
