Das sind einerseits die Rennen mit festgelegter Entfernung (zehn Kilometer und Marathon -42,195 Km). Sie werden meistens auf flachen und regelm\u00e4ssigen Strecken  organisiert, um Vergleiche zu erm\u00f6glichen. Bei den Rennen mit freien Entfernungen andererseits kann das Gel\u00e4nde und die Entfernung variieren; so k\u00f6nnen die Organisatoren die Spezifizit\u00e4t des Gel\u00e4ndes ausnutzen. Dieses Jahr werden wir eine steile Strecke fahren, die dank der Radfahrer der \"tour de France\" ber\u00fchmt geworden ist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bei jedem Rennen werden zwei Kategorien unterschieden, \"standard class\" und \"unlimited class\". Die Standard class h\u00e4ngt von derGr\u00f6sse des Rads ab (z.B 24\" oder 29\"), mit Begrenzungen \u00fcber die Pedalkurbeln und die Schaltung. Die unlimited class kennt keine Begrenzungen, was die Gr\u00f6sse des Rads betrifft, L\u00e4nge der Pedalkurbeln oder Schaltung.
