Fixed distance races are set at 10km and Marathon (42.195km). They are run on a generally flat, uniform course to allow comparisons between events.  In the free distance race, terrain and distances are variable, which allow organisers to make best use of local geography.  This year\u2019s free distance race will take on some of the climbs made famous by the Tour de France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In each race, there are two unicycle categories- \u2018standard class\u2019 and \u2018unlimited class\u2019. The standard class is defined by wheel size (eg 24 Class and 29 Class), with limitation on crank length and transmission.
